Thirty year-old Nick Pattersonwas sentenced to 99 years in prisonrecently afterhe pled guiltyto animal cruelty charges in Alabama. His disgusting actions included neglecting and starving purebred Border Collies on his grandparents’ property. A plea deal has been struck between Patterson and the prosecution, where he pleaded guilty to numerous counts of fraud, as well as nine abhorrent counts ofabuse of canines, reports the Alex City Outlook.

Policefound fourteenmalnourishedBorder Colliesinenclosures outside where Patterson lived. The animals were left with onlycollectedwater from rain to drink, and were found to have often been left unfed over a period of months. Police also foundremains of six otheranimalson Patterson’s property.
