The newborn giraffe has a big name to live up to! The Zoological Society of London has released footage of a baby giraffe born on November 11. The giraffe’s birthday falls during World War I and other conflicts, so the zookeepers decided to name him Wilfred. Wilfred Owen was an English soldier and poet whose writings reflected what was once called “the suffering of war”.
